Grow your culinary career with Culinary Services Group. We’re looking for Cooks to prepare delicious meals that make residents smile. In addition to daily cooking responsibilities, this role will also prepare food for catered events. We offer more flexible schedules than most restaurants, competitive pay, excellent training, and many opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively execute the preparation and cooking of hot and cold foods, including soups, sauces, salads, special entrees, catering requirements, and other food items determined by supervisor.
  2. Examine foods being served for quality and freshness.
  3. Monitor food temperatures to ensure quality meals.
  4. Create a quality dining experience that exceeds customer expectations.
  5. Promote and provide a work environment of teamwork and respect amongst employees, integrity, world class customer service, financial responsibility, and continual pursuit of excellence.
  6. Adhere to all requirements in connection with food safety regulations for CSG, and for state and federal requirements, and other applicable health and safety regulations that may arise.
  7. Ensure that food equipment is utilized safely and efficiently.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  9. Communicate effectively with a thorough comprehension and compliance of verbal instructions / written standard recipes, and production orders.
  10. Maintain accurate record keeping systems while ensuring creative cooking techniques in the preparation of daily menus.
  11. Fulfill all HACCP policies and procedures and monitor the flow of food.
  12. Ensure effective portion of meals utilizing appropriate measuring tools and food garnishing techniques while overseeing the distribution of food leaving the kitchen.
  13. Maintain an effective food station set up prior to service with appropriate equipment and food determined by the supervisor.
  14. Ensure quality effective distribution of food to CSG customers.
  15. Receive, unpack, unwrap, rotate, & stow deliveries into appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms via supervisor’s instructions.
  16. Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation at all times.
  17. Fulfill all side work responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.
  18. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
  19. This position may be called upon to perform other duties and tasks as determined by the immediate supervisor, client and client location.
