Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents, while ensuring safety and a clean kitchen environment. You will follow standardized recipes and special dietary requirements to support residents’ health and enjoyment.

In this role, you will balance quality and efficiency, record temperatures and quantities, and assist with dining service as needed. Sunrise emphasizes growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for residents or in a healthcare/assisted living setting.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menus accurately.
• Commitment to sanitation and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
