We are hiring immediately for a part-time COOK position at Landmark College, located at River Road South, Putney, VT 05346. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous batch production experience is preferred, but not required.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to standards, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepares high-quality food items per recipes to meet schedules.
  2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, attractiveness, and taste. Tastes all prepared food.
  3. Uses established ticket procedures; responsible for records during service.
  4. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains high cleanliness standards.
  5. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean; ensures proper storage.
  6. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  7. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  8. Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  9. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  10. Attends safety and in-service meetings.
  11. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and clients.
  12. Performs job safely, maintaining a safe environment.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
  14. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
  15. Personal commitment to safety.
  16. Abides by all company policies, including safety procedures when handling equipment.
