• We are hiring immediately for a part-time COOK position.
• Address: River Road South, Putney, VT 05346. Note: Online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items per standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records during service.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high cleanliness standards. Stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Commits to personal and team safety.
• Adheres to all company policies, including safety protocols such as using gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
