We are hiring immediately for part-time COOK positions.

Location: Presbyterian Medical Center - 51 N 39th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Note: Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work some weekday afternoons and every other weekend. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Must have a Covid vaccine card.

Pay Range: $16.55 per hour to $20.22 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares high-quality food items following recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
3. Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records.
4. Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and stores excess food safely.
5. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms organized.
6. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
7. Assists in planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
8. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
9. Attends safety and in-service meetings.
10. Maintains good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
11. Follows safety standards, including HACCP.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Safety and Policies

• Uses appropriate protective gear when handling equipment or hot items.
• Wears slip-resistant shoes and uses proper lifting techniques.
