In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality meals to residents, guests, and staff.

Job Description

1. Prepare all food using the daily planner and SLC standard recipes.
2. Work the food line during mealtimes.
3. Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation standards.
4. Respond quickly to needs and requests to ensure resident and guest satisfaction.
5. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Willingness to obtain necessary food handling and sanitation licenses if not already possessed.
• Basic computer skills; entry-level proficiency with Excel and Word required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables where limited standardization exists.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.
