We are currently hiring a Part Time Cook for Dietary and Food Services at Fremont Hospital!

The Cook supports the successful operation of the hospital by preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and staff according to the diet manual and production sheets. Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring timely meal service, providing on-unit snacks, maintaining par levels, and adhering to food safety and kitchen safety protocols.

About Fremont Hospital: A fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing comprehensive mental health care for children through adults, including assessments, inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, outpatient treatment, and chemical dependency outpatient care.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in quantity cooking or basic knowledge of modified diets
• Training in food service, safe food handling, and sanitation
• Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
• Previous kitchen supervisory experience is helpful

Additional Requirements

• May need to obtain ServSafe certification
• May need to complete Fremont Hospital’s CPI training within 90 days
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
