Reports To: Deli Department Manager
Are you passionate about food service and eager to create delicious meal options for our guests? Whether you have experience in fast food, as a line cook, or in a deli or restaurant setting, or no experience but a willingness to learn, we’d love to talk with you about the Deli Hot Bar Cook opportunity at Festival Foods. In this role, you'll enhance breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences for our guests.
Our hot bar offers quick, tasty options like crispy fried chicken, fried fish, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and potato wedges. As a Hot Bar Cook, you'll prepare and fry a variety of menu items, ensuring quality and flavor that our guests love!
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Greet guests, answer questions, and address concerns professionally, making a positive impact daily.
- Offer Assistance: Help guests find items, provide recommendations, and enhance their shopping experience.
- Service Excellence: Ensure guest needs are met with a helpful attitude.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and fulfill guest orders efficiently, following schedules.
- Hot Bar Display: Maintain attractive and high-quality food displays, adhering to protocols.
- Temperature & Quality Control: Monitor food temperatures and keep logs to ensure safety and quality.
- Efficiency & Organization: Organize, stock, and clean the hot bar, keeping it ready for guests.
- Guest Concerns: Resolve issues positively using the boomerang principle.
- Honor Commitments: Attend work regularly and provide notice for absences.
- Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience & Skills: Good communication skills, experience in food service preferred but not required.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and equipment operation.
- Food Knowledge: Knowledge of perishable foods and ability to work quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with kitchen equipment and handling high-pressure situations.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to work quickly in changing temperatures.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
Work Schedule:
This position offers part-time or full-time hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on needs.
