We are currently hiring a Part Time Cook for Dietary and Food Services at Fremont Hospital!

The Cook provides support critical to the successful operation of the hospital and is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and facility staff according to the approved diet manual and production sheets. Responsibilities include overseeing the successful and safe operation of the kitchen and staff for timely meal execution. The kitchen also provides on-unit snacks and maintains par levels. Proper safe food handling and kitchen safety protocols must always be followed and monitored for compliance by staff.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• At least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking or basic knowledge of modified diets
• Training in food service, safe food handling, and sanitation
• Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
• Prior kitchen supervisory experience is helpful

Additional Requirements:

• May need to obtain ServSafe certification
• May need to complete Fremont Hospital’s non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 90 days of employment
• May require overtime and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds
