The Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard and The Grange Estate are seeking a dedicated and passionate On-Call, Part-Time Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting a wide array of private events, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations.

The ideal candidate will assist in both the preparation and execution of our luxury culinary experiences, while also gaining exposure to the broader culinary program at the Black Walnut Inn. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the preparation and execution of food for private events at both the Black Walnut Inn and The Grange Estate.
2. Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently maintained.
3. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
4. Assist with kitchen setup and breakdown, including cleaning and organization.
5. Learn and contribute to the wider culinary program, with opportunities for growth and development.
6. Communicate effectively with the team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred, but not required.
2. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary arts.
3. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for events.
4. Ability to take direction well and work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Hourly pay of $19-$21, depending on experience, plus tips.
6. Exposure to high-end culinary techniques and event execution.
