A leading healthcare facility in Dearborn is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients and staff. Beaumont Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing 144-bed behavioral health facility, Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults. The facility performs behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day and offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues to meet the unique needs of its patients. Additionally, the hospital provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.
Position Summary :
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of all meals for patients and facility staff. The Cook also prepares nutritious snacks for patients during the day and night shifts.

Qualifications
Education : High school diploma or GED required.
Experience : Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, preferably in a healthcare setting; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; possession of a food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
This part-time opportunity includes a holiday rotation, every other weekend off, and a work shift ending by 7:30 p.m.
