HMR Veteran Services is seeking a Cook to provide nutritious, high-quality meals for Veteran residents. You will follow menus, accommodate dietary needs, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards in a hospital-style kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe handling.
• At least one year of cooking in healthcare/long-term care or related setting preferred.
• Additional cook training or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are served with quality and consistency.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.
• Assist with meals for special events and activities.
• Properly store and rotate food products.
• Collaborate with Dietary Services to provide excellent resident service.
• Support a positive dining experience for Veteran residents and guests.
