Omega Senior Living Llc in Nebraska seeks a Cook to prepare meals from the menu plan and assist with service. You will work under supervision to ensure quality and cost control while maintaining clean production and service areas.

Your responsibilities include portioning and serving according to recipes, accommodating resident dietary requests, managing kitchen inventory, and following sanitation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of special diets.
• Obtain local/state food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certifications.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Supports quality food service within Omega Dining standards and prescribed budgets.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Fulfills resident special meal requests and adheres to dietary requirements.
• Maintains proper inventory of food and kitchen items.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Cleans all kitchen equipment, food service areas, and storage areas.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and reduce cost.
