Job Summary:

The Culinary Cook is responsible for prepping, preparing, and cooking products according to recipe specifications and food safety and sanitation guidelines. The individual should have a reasonable knowledge base of fundamentals of the kitchen, including knife skills and organization. The Cook has the ability of running a station within the kitchen without constant supervision.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Prepare and cook products according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation guidelines.
  2. Knows menu items specific to position.
  3. Possess fundamental skills of the kitchen, including but not limited to, seasoning, knife skills and organization.
  4. Understands and follows production guidelines and location appearance guidelines.
  5. Acts with a sense of urgency and provides friendly, efficient service to teammates and guests.
  6. Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
  7. Adheres to Levy guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook.
  8. Thoroughly completes all set-up and breakdown responsibilities.
  9. Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
  10. Displays a positive attitude toward teammates, managers and other groups.
  11. Always on time and ready to perform all required duties.
  12. Helps fellow team members whenever necessary.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
  2. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  3. React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
  4. Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
  5. Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  6. Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.

Job Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
