Job Summary

The Culinary Cook is responsible for prepping, preparing, and cooking food according to recipes and food safety standards. Basic kitchen skills such as knife handling and organization are expected. The Cook should be capable of managing a station independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook food per recipe and safety guidelines.
2. Know menu items specific to the position.
3. Possess fundamental kitchen skills, including seasoning, knife handling, and organization.
4. Follow production and appearance guidelines.
5. Provide friendly, efficient service with a sense of urgency.
6. Manage inventory and equipment properly.
7. Follow company policies as outlined in training materials and employee handbook.
8. Complete setup and breakdown duties thoroughly.
9. Practice good safety and sanitation.
10. Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork.
11. Be punctual and prepared for all duties.
12. Assist fellow team members as needed.

Essential Job Duties

• Stand for long periods and engage physically with guests.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• React quickly and alertly in emergencies.
• Demonstrate stamina and agility for mobility throughout the day.
• Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Transition easily between sitting and standing.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
