A leading healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated food service worker to prepare and cook food under supervision. The role involves leading associates, ensuring food quality, and adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in food preparation and a commitment to service excellence.
**Job Description:**
Under supervision, prepares and cooks food.
**Shift Details**
+ Leads the work of the associates in the department. Acts as a resource and provides technical support.
+ Assists with creating new and substitute menu items.
+ Reviews menus daily to determine quantities of food and supplies needed.
+ Prepares food for cafeteria and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
+ Services as resource to educate/coach follow and comply with recipe standards. Demonstrate various cooking techniques.
+ Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
+ Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
+ Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators. Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
+ Monitors supply and equipment inventory. Notifies leadership team of needed equipment repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and established departmental policies and procedures and safety standards.
+ Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Shift Details**
+ **Shifts will vary with weekend and holiday rotation**
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ ServeSafe certification to be acquired within 6 months of hire
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Experience in a healthcare facility, such as health care food service is
+ Minimum 6 months experience in quantity food preparation, preferably in a healthcare setting.

+ Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
+ Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) training to be obtained after hire.
**Physical Requirements:**
Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
