Job summary

LV Petroleum is seeking restaurant team members for our travel-center location. Cooks will prepare food, cook dishes, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen while following hygienic standards. Cashiers support guests in a fast-paced environment and help with orders.

Qualified applicants may have prior kitchen experience or be eager to learn. Standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and evening/weekend availability are required; benefits include health, retirement, PTO, weekly pay, and growth

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking and measure portions.
• Follow recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
• Set up and organize the kitchen and ensure ingredients/tools are available.
• Cook or assist in cooking dishes according to menu specifications.
• Monitor food to ensure proper temperature and quality.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, fryers, ovens, stovetops).
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Dispose of food waste and manage waste properly.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff when required.
• Adhere to portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Manage allergens and dietary restrictions when preparing food.
