Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Morgantown, WV seeks a dedicated Dining Services Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety and quality, and supervise staff for meal service. You will prepare meals, maintain cleanliness, monitor temperatures, and ensure diets are followed with confidentiality and teamwork.

Requirements include dining services experience, Serv-Safe certification within 60 days, ability to lift 50 lbs, reading/writing and basic math, and a flexible schedule including

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv‑Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a basic understanding of food service operations including familiarity with other dietary position duties.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be organized and work well with people as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times, including floors.
• Supervise all assigned duties to ensure kitchen is ready for meal service.
• Report faulty equipment and damaged items to supervisor.
• Record food temperatures three times daily.
• Ensure leftovers are cooled, stored, identified and dated.
• Observe safety practices and control portion sizes to minimize waste.
• Attend in-services and staff meetings; train new dietary employees.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Be familiar with residents' diets and changes; be courteous to residents and staff.
