Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification required or within 60 days of hire.
• Basic understanding of food service operations and other dietary duties.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Willingness to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Experience in food preparation and cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area at all times.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director.
• Report faulty equipment and proper temperatures twice daily.
• Ensure leftovers are cooled, stored, identified and dated.
• Monitor portion sizes to minimize waste.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
