Job summary

AC&T in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare fresh meals for customers and support a fast-paced kitchen. You will operate ovens, steamer, and mixers, assemble salads, bake cakes, and ensure food is prepared safely and on time.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, following state food-service guidelines, managing ingredients, and assisting with catering orders. Must be able to lift heavy items and work weekends or extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Kitchen/cook experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to ensure quality and safety.
• Operate ovens, steamer and mixers for meal prep.
• Create salads and prepare ingredients for cold units and catering orders.
• Bake cakes; frost, slice and box baked goods.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and follow state food-service guidelines.
• Assist with dishwashing and station cleanup.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Kitchen Manager.
