Job summary

Wisteria at Warner Center is opening Summer 2026 and seeks a dedicated Cook II to join our founding team in Woodland Hills, CA. You will prepare all menu items following standardized recipes, ensuring quality and timely service.

This full-time onsite position offers a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and development. Responsibilities include preparing diverse items, maintaining stock, and assisting in events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, retirement community or similar institution.
• Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all food items based on standardized recipes (sauces, sautés, boils, braises, roasts; fries, steams, grills, bakes).
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, fish, vegetables and other food items.
• Assist in daily prep, special functions, banquets, catering, holidays and events.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food at line stations.
• Plan production to coordinate with meal serving hours and ensure quality, temperature and appearance of food.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with sanitation standards.
• Performs other duties as required by Chefs or supervisor.
