Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare foods listed on menus across grilling, frying, broiling, baking, boiling, braising, and pantry stations. You will ensure plates meet specifications, maintain a clean workstation, and support co-workers for smooth kitchen operations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, some industry experience preferred, and the ability to obtain necessary Illinois Gaming Commission licenses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Some industry experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Rockford and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
• Prepares foods to order across grilling, frying, broiling, baking, boiling, braising, poaching or pantry stations to spec.
• Keeps workstation neat and clean and assists coworkers to ensure efficient kitchen operation.
• May assist at special events or parties and assist with setup/teardown as needed.
• Ensures proper storage of foods and safe equipment operation; reports safety hazards.
