Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Cook II to join our food service team. Under supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items following recipes and production sheets, while keeping a clean, sanitary area.

You’ll also train others and support HACCP-based food safety practices. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in healthcare and quantity cooking.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items following menus, recipes and production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area and communicates with production staff about menus and portion sizes.
• Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures

Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.

Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production

Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred

2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred

2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
