Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a Cook II PRN to join our hospital kitchen team. Under general supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of menu items, following recipes and production sheets, while maintaining a clean, sanitary work area.

You will collaborate with production staff on menus and portion sizes, and provide training to colleagues as needed. Prior healthcare and quantity cooking experience are preferred, with a focus on food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items following menus, recipes, and production sheets.
• Communicate with production staff regarding menus, recipes, and portion sizes; ensure clean, sanitary work area.
• Provide training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
