Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Cook II PRN to join our Food Services team. Under supervision, you will prepare, season and cook a wide variety of items according to menus and production sheets, while maintaining a clean, sanitary work area.

You will collaborate with production staff, ensure portion control, and may provide guidance to teammates. Hours vary with shifts from early morning to afternoon and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of healthcare food service preferred.
• 2+ years of quantity cooking preferred.

SCHEDULE:

Hours vary between 5:30am to 1:00pm and 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with rotating weekends.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\\Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
