Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a PRN Cook to join our hospital kitchen team. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals in line with menus, recipes, and production sheets while maintaining a clean, sanitary work area. You will communicate with production staff about menus and portions and adhere to HACCP guidelines.

The position offers PRN hours within a large health system and opportunities for training and growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years healthcare experience preferred.
• 1+ years of quantity cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
• Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes.
• Adheres to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Fosters a culture aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
• Participates in training with other production staff to develop within the industry.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 1 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
