Job summary

Our client, a local healthcare facility, is seeking a Cook to join their Food Service team in Madison, WI. You will prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of items for patients and events, following strict safety and quality standards with a focus on timely meal service.

The role offers a contract-to-hire pathway, structured onboarding, and opportunities to contribute to patient-focused meals in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Ability to prepare and portion food items accurately and efficiently for multiple meal periods.
Comfort working in a hospital food service environment with consistent standards and timelines.
Strong attention to detail to ensure meals are prepared and presented correctly.
Ability to follow food safety and sanitation expectations while working in a production kitchen.
Willingness to meet onboarding requirements, including Rapid 10 Panel titers and proof of required immunizations.

Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for multiple meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
Follow established production and presentation standards to support consistent meal service throughout the day.
Work with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations during high-volume meal periods.
