Job summary

Sodexo in Gorham, ME is seeking a Cook II to join our campus dining team on the University of Southern Maine site. You’ll work with a close-knit crew to prepare and plate nutritious dishes, while delivering friendly, high‑quality service.

This full‑time role offers varying shifts, $19/hour, and a strong benefits package (medical/dental/vision, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and employee discounts). Prior kitchen experience and a teamwork mindset are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable.
• 3–4 years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold items for meals and events.
• Read and follow basic recipes and product directions.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station.
• Assist management in daily oversight of key functions and employees.
• Attend shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties as assigned per account needs.
