Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a food service worker to prepare a variety of items in an on-site jail facility. You will follow menus and instructions, report to a Food Service Director, and work with inmates under supervision.

The role requires at least 1 year of cooking experience, a valid driver’s license, and open availability for long shifts that may include weekends and holidays. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• At least 1 year of relevant cooking experience.
• Prior experience cooking in a cafeteria or large-volume facility.
• Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, recipes and procedures.
• Follow assigned instruction to maintain levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth serving of food.
• Complete required production paperwork, while also assigning and supervising inmates in tasks.
• Responsible for all aspects of controlling inventory.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area.
