Job summary

Hyatt Regency Irvine is seeking a Cook II to join our hotel kitchen team. You will work on a single station and the omelet station, delivering quality dishes with care for safety, speed, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

• 2 years of line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to work single station in the kitchen and omelet station.

• Able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.

A Cook II requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. A Cook II should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. Cook II will work single stations in the kitchen and omelet station. Will need to multi-task, cooking for areas such as Banquets and Outlets.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• 2 years of previous line experience preferred.
• Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.
• Able to work single station in the kitchen.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
• Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight.
