Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a Cook II to prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of food items for patients and staff, following menus, recipes, and production sheets. You will maintain a clean, sanitary work area and coordinate with production staff on portion sizes.

The role supports the patient experience with quality food service, offers a 5:00am start, rotating weekends, and opportunities to train and guide other culinary teammates.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
  • Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
  • Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production.
  • Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

  • Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
  • Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred

  • 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
