Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Cook II to join our hospital food services team. Under supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of meals following established menus and production sheets while keeping a clean, sanitary work area.

You will communicate with production staff about portions and menus, provide training as needed, and adhere to HACCP guidelines. Schedule includes 6:00am–2:30pm and 10:30am–8:30pm; healthcare cooking experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quantity cooking preferred.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
• Utilize proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilize systems to quality process/standards in food production.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

What qualifications you will need

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
