HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX, invites qualified cooks to join our team as Cook II. Under supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of items per menus and production sheets, while maintaining a clean, sanitary work area and assisting with training.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
• 2+ years of quantity cooking experience preferred.

• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Communicates with production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes. Provides training and guidance to other employees performing related work.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Utilizes systems to quality process/standards in food production
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\\Equivalent preferred
• 2 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 2 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
