Job summary

Shepherd’s Care Foundation in Barrhead, AB, is seeking a Cook I for a permanent, part-time role (0.7 FTE). Under the supervision of the Program Manager, you will perform cooking duties, follow standardized recipes, and ensure high sanitation standards to support resident care.

This position requires reading, writing and speaking English, institutional cooking experience, Grade 12 or equivalent, and Food Safe 1 & 2 certification. Hourly pay is $23.61; Bi-Weekly Hours: 54.25.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English required.
• Experience in institutional cooking preferred.
• Grade 12 or equivalent education required.
• Food Safe 1 & 2 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes, production sheets and master menus.
• Maintain sanitation standards in food preparation and handling.
• Coordinate meal production and provide service to residents.
• Receive, distribute and store food goods.
• Communicate information to team and supervisors.
