Job summary

University of Northern Iowa Alumni and Foundation is seeking a Temporary Cook I to join UNI Dining Services. Under direct supervision, you will prepare quality foods for meals, clean and secure kitchen areas, and supervise student and temporary staff in serving prepared foods.

Position is limited to 1040 hours per fiscal year with an hourly rate of $18.27. Applicants should have good communication skills and a positive attitude; background checks are required for employment consideration.

• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, prepares quality foods for meals in student dining center for the Department of Housing and Dining.
• Cleans and secures kitchen areas following preparation of meals.
• Directs student and temporary employees in the service of prepared food; performs other related duties as assigned.
