WarHorse Gaming Lincoln, LLC, a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., is hiring a Cook I to prepare and present items according to recipes, standards, and safety guidelines, supporting line and prep stations to ensure fast, friendly service.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with part-time and full-time options. Eligibility includes being 19+, a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of high-volume food service experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience in a high-volume food service operation.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and sanitation practices.
• Knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yields.
• Ability to taste and smell food items for quality assurance.
• Possession of required culinary tools (e.g., knives).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept direction.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to tolerate industry-standard cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and guest requests.
• Support line and prep cooking functions, including breakfast items, entrées, and desserts.
• Use proper cooking techniques and follow food handling, storage and rotation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment; ensure presentation standards.
