University Health Truman Medical Center is seeking a Cook to join our Food Service team. As a Cook, you'll prepare meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors using standardized recipes and safe kitchen practices.

You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with varied shifts, operating ovens, mixers, steamers, and other equipment. A high school diploma or GED and a current Food Handler's Permit are required, with benefits and growth opportunities available.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Food Handler's Permit from KC MO or surrounding counties (or willing to obtain within 30 days).
• Ability to follow recipes and scale portions while using large kitchen equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare meals from standardized recipes for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Operate large kitchen equipment safely (ovens, mixers, steamers).
• Use portion scales and measure ingredients to ensure consistency.
• Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
