Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Cook to provide residents and guests with a pleasant dining experience through the efficient and sanitary preparation and service of high quality, nutritious meals.

Follows written recipes, assists in developing menus, and helps with inventory and ordering while keeping a clean and safe kitchen. Opportunities for full-time hours with rotating shifts are offered in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Must have previous kitchen experience.
• Sanitation certification (ServSafe) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Flexible and accommodating to residents and guests.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes to prepare high quality, nutritious meals.
• Assists in menu development and daily prep.
• Supports inventory and ordering with Dining Director/Executive Chef.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment and equipment.
• Handles various cooking methods including baking, frying, salads, sauteing and short-order cooking.
