We are hiring for Cook Full-Time

Shifts are 5:30am-1:30pm and 11:30am-7:30pm.

Position Summary

This Cook prepares food according to federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring patient safety. Assists in meal preparation, delivery, and taking orders as needed. May be directed by the Director of Culinary.

Essential Job Functions

• Follow recipes, portioning, menu standards; complete production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
• Monitor food temperatures during preparation and service.
• Inspect food and supplies upon delivery; supervise storage.
• Report needs and issues to the Director of Culinary.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Qualifications

• High School/GED required; experience in healthcare dietary setting preferred.
• Minimum 2 years culinary experience; 1 year in long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of quantity food prep and dietary diets.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and diet orders.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle chemicals safely.
• English proficiency required.

Physical Demands

Standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 75 pounds, working with chemicals.

Additional Details

• Background checks and drug screening required.
• Hourly wage: $16.00.
• Benefits include 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts.
• Location: Fort Smith, AR 72903.
• Experience: 1+ year restaurant experience preferred.
• Shift: Day shift preferred.
