ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands. Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt;
2. Performs multiple types of packing and weighing;
3. Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades, and removes product that does not meet standards;

Participates as a member of the team by developing, communicating, and implementing team concepts, programs, and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends team meetings and fosters cohesiveness on major issues such as direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes. Responsible for identifying areas lacking cohesiveness, addressing issues with the team leader, and working collaboratively to resolve problems and achieve synergy within the organization.

Operating Systems Principles

Familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN). Understands the importance of maintaining familiarity with these systems and the role of this position in supporting them, including considering the impact of individual actions and communicating concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities

Must be able to move, push, or pull up to 55 pounds, and bend, stoop, walk, stand, and work in cold, wet, noisy, and dusty environments for the entire shift. The role involves repetitive motions and rotating through different temperature zones within the plant.
