• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions.
• Location: Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital - 2095 Henry Tecklenburg Drive, Charleston, SC 29414. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time; Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: No prior experience required. Willing to train!
• Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, presentation, and taste. Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Follow all safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
