+ Location: Collins Vergennes - 100 Panton Road, Vergennes, VT 05491. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Full-time. Days may vary, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. More details upon interview.

+ Requirement: Grill cook and prep cook experience required.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare high-quality food items per recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
  2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all prepared food.
  3. Use ticket collection procedures during service. Maintain records from your area.
  4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen after preparation and service, store or discard excess food safely.
  5. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
  6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
  7. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  8. Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  9. Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
  10. Attend in-service and safety meetings.
  11. Maintain good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
  12. Follow safety protocols, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
  15. Commit to personal and team safety.
  16. Abide by all company policies and procedures.
