Location: California Polytechnic State University

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Cook position at the Express Kitchen, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407. Online applications are accepted only.

Job Summary

Prepare food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties

• Prepare high-quality food using standardized recipes.
• Serve meals, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Assist with production planning, ordering, and record keeping.
• Report maintenance issues immediately.
• Attend safety and in-service meetings.
• Follow all safety policies, including proper use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
