Job Opening: Full-Time Cook

We are hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions at Christus Spohn Hospital Shoreline, located at 600 Elizabeth Street, Corpus Christi, TX 78404. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time hours, including some weekends. Specific hours and days will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements: Previous food service or culinary experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare high-quality food following standardized recipes and instructions.
  2. Serve meals and prepare food for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and proper storage of food and supplies.
  4. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
  5. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
  6. Report maintenance issues and accidents immediately.
  7. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
  8. Maintain good relationships with coworkers and management.
  9. Follow HACCP standards for food safety.

Adhere to safety policies, including the use of appropriate protective gear and proper lifting techniques.
