Job summary

COOKVista Specialty Hospital is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and serve meals for patients, staff and visitors, following food safety standards. You will ensure meals are produced at correct temperatures, plated attractively, and served promptly during daily meal periods.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean kitchen, coordinating with the Food Service department and the Registered Dietitian to meet nutrition goals, and supporting daily operations with the Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years cooking experience; or 3 years in commercial/institutional food prep; or 2 years as an assistant cook.
• Must read/write in English.
• Food Management Certificate required within 6 months of employment.
• Safety sensitive position.

Prepares, seasons and cooks’ food for facility patients, employees, visitors, and for special functions.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; experience cooking ( 2 years) required in lieu of education.
