Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Cook to support patient, staff and visitor meals under direct supervision. You will prepare hot and cold items, measure ingredients, follow recipes and menus, and use grills and kitchen equipment to ensure meals are cooked to specification.

Requirements include at least 2 years of cooking experience, strong communication, ability to work under time constraints and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cook experience.
• Knowledge of production cooking techniques.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and menus.

Job description

Under direct supervision, prepares hot and cold food items for patients, employees, staff and visitors in accordance with established recipes and menus. Measures and mixes food ingredients; using grills, kitchen utensils and equipment and tests food in order to determine if done.

Experience

2 years as a cook to be knowledgeable and skilled in various production cooking techniques and standard recipes.

Pay Range

$15.75 - $23.00

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
