Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare's Charlotte Hall Facility seeks a full-time Cook to prepare, cook, and serve meals for residents, keep the kitchen clean and safe, and follow food safety guidelines. This onsite role requires attention to detail and timely service.

You'll work a 6 AM–7 PM shift, Sunday through Saturday, with a starting rate of $16/hour and opportunities for advancement. ServSafe Certification is offered and preferred; prior food service experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe environment in the kitchen at all times.
• Comply with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling.
• Complete all required documentation, including but not limited to food and equipment temperature logs.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, and return them to proper storage areas as requested.
• Assist in assuring the proper receiving, rotating, and storage of food and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Charlotte Hall Drug & Alcohol Residential Treatment Center has served local communities for more than 40 years, providing treatment through structured programs for detox, residential care, medication-assisted treatment, and family education for both men and women. Pyramid Healthcare offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare for our clients to help develop the strength needed to overcome life’s challenges and allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being. We are seeking a Cook to join our team in supporting our clients with the preparation and serving of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner; operating and cleaning kitchen equipment; and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.
