Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dependable Full-Time Cook for Freedom Detox in Gastonia, NC. You will prepare nutritious meals for 18–22 clients per meal in a supportive healthcare kitchen, following established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.

You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, follow food safety standards, and collaborate with staff to support recovery. The schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, with no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
Ensure meals are prepared on time while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
Follow standardized recipes and portion-control guidelines.
Prepare meals that accommodate special dietary needs when required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
Monitor and document food and equipment temperatures.
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Receive, rotate, and properly store food and kitchen supplies.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance concerns promptly.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with clients, visitors, and team members.

What You'll Do
