Job summary

The Arbor Company is hiring a Cook in Decatur, GA. You will prepare meals for residents, follow established recipes, and ensure kitchen safety and cleanliness in a high-demand setting.

You will collaborate with the Dining Director to manage prep, production, and service flow while accommodating dietary needs and meal cycles. Prior kitchen experience and a culinary background are valued for delivering quality meals to residents.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training or restaurant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control, and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking for 100+ people is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using established recipes and menu cycles.
• Assist with stock deliveries and rotate products; follow regulatory logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards per schedules and protocols.
• Collaborate with the Dining Director on prep, production, and service flow.
