Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a kitchen team member for our school dining program in Faribault, MN. You will provide high-quality guest service, execute recipes to standard, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment during a 7:30am–2:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to do simple arithmetic.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Be able to lift 30 Lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times.
• Execute recipes to the letter.
• Prepare meals with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follows and completes production sheets.
• Meet deadlines for daily workload.
• Store or discard excess food safely.
• Set up and tear down of workstation.
• Receive and unpack food deliveries.
• Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Communicate professionally with others.
• Understand FIFO and apply it.
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership.

Essential Functions

• Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times

• Prepare meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature, and is attractive and tasty
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
